Bernard Wekare

Bernard holds a Masters in Business Administration (“MBA") and Bachelor of Business Studies (Honors) degree from the University of Zimbabwe. An investment banker with extensive knowledge and experience in corporate finance, development finance, trade finance, structured finance, project finance, project and/or credit appraisals, financial modeling, corporate and/or business reconstruction/ rehabilitation, financial management, strategic planning, market research, investment advisory and portfolio management. Bernard has had a distinguished career in banking and the financial services sector, including working as Senior Business Analyst, Senior Manager, and Managing Director for Small Enterprises Development Corporation, Commercial Bank Of Zimbabwe Limited, and TN Financial Services (Private) Limited respectively.

Over the years and in various capacities, he was instrumental the successful closure of many corporate actions, including but not limited to corporate turnaround initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising through rights offers, private placement and public offering, listing on the stock exchange, due diligence, business valuations, and asset management. In 2010, he was instrumental in establishing Cosmos Capital Limited with business partners and immediately acquired Alpha Asset Management (Private) Limited. Bernard is the Managing Director of Cosmos Capital Limited, a Non-Executive Director of TN Bank Limited, Non-Executive Director of Alpha Asset Management, and several other companies.
