Happymore Mapara

Happymore is a Fellow Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators and a professional member of Alumni – London Business School (Executive Management Programme). During the period 1992 – 1994 he worked for PG Industries as Audit trainee and Regional Auditor.
In 1994 he joined The Cotton Company of Zimbabwe Ltd (“Cottco") and worked as Internal Auditor, Treasurer, Head of Procurement and Inputs, Executive assistant to Group Chief Executive Officer before becoming Group Chief Executive Officer in 2005 and then AICO Africa Ltd (“AICO").

He left AICO in November 2009 to pursue other interests. During his time as Cottco and AICO Group CEO, Happymore was chairman of Seedco, Scottco (Pvt) Ltd, Exhort Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd and Cotpro Ltd and was Deputy Chairman of Olivine Holdings Ltd. As Chairman of Cotton Ginners Association he worked tirelessly with industry stakeholders to sustain cotton production during a period when production for most crops was on the decline. He is a member of the Private Sector Advisory Panel Committee (“PSAP") of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (“ICAC") that proffer advice to governments and stakeholders on cotton issues.
